Spacious, well-equipped, and rated highly for safety, the Vauxhall Crossland X and the Grandland X  should make your shortlist if you’re in the market for a family crossover SUV. Both offer a bold design and plenty of useful features to ensure you can travel in town, round the countryside and beyond, in style.

But which is right for you? Read on to find out…

Size & Space

As the largest in Vauxhall’s SUV range, you’ll be spoiled for space with the Grandland X. When you adjust the 60/40 split rear seats, you’ll get up to 1,652-litres in the boot, making it perfect for transporting large loads. The Grandland X is also a good choice for towing a caravan, with the 1.5-litre diesel allowing you to tow up to 1,500kg.

The slightly smaller Crossland X is still a very decent sized SUV though, and it’s just as practical. Like the Grandland X, it features 60/40 split rear seats which, when folded down, provide you with a very respectable 1,255-litres of boot space.

Why not take them both for a test drive to try them out for size?

Engine & Performance

Both models have a variety of petrol and diesel engines to choose from, plus the Grandland X now offers a hybrid variant too. The diesel options could be the way to go if you’re a regular road tripper and frequently carry lots of cargo, whereas the petrol engines will be more suitable if you’ll mostly be driving around town.

The Crossland X and the Grandland X both feel solid and secure when you get behind the wheel, which is what you’d expect from any good SUV. Smooth performance and direct steering will make all your journeys feel relaxed, comfortable, and enjoyable.

Technology & Infotainment

Vauxhall is known for being generous when it comes to adding standard spec to their vehicles, and the Crossland X and Grandland X are no exceptions. For instance, all models feature a sleek infotainment system with a touchscreen display and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard, making connecting your smartphone easy.

Thanks to a range of superb safety features on both the Grandland X and Crossland X, each has earned a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating. You’ll feel at ease behind the wheel with hill start assist, parking sensors, and a lane departure warning, which are available on both models.

Interior & Exterior Design

With elegant lines, an energetic design, and athletic poise, the Grandland X is sure to make a statement. Not only will you look stylish, you’ll be comfortable on all your adventures too thanks to a high quality interior and ergonomic design inside.

The more compact Crossland X is just as bold and really looks the part with 16 or 17-inch alloy wheels and LED headlights. Inside, the comfortable and sleek interior is complete with heated seats, available on selected models to add extra comfort.
